JUST WHAT YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR ** Effective
with your March 2007 monthly report (which is due April 10th),
it is no longer necessary to send a separate report to the
Interclub Chairman, Terry Wilson. Simply record your Interclub
meetings on your Online Monthly Report (at www.kiwanisportal.com)
and Terry will be able to login and retrieve the information necessary
to calculate points for the Interclub Contest and the Interclub
Distinguished Club Points (see attached for 2006-2007 rules).
PART I. PURPOSE OF INTERCLUB CONTEST To perpetuate the exchange of ideas throughout the Kiwanis Family so we may better serve the children of the world and to provide an opportunity for fellowship among members of the Kiwanis family. PART II: INTERCLUB DEFINITION An interclub meeting is a meeting staged by two or more Kiwanis clubs (including clubs in formation) or be a Kiwanis club and any club belonging to the K Family (Division, District, International or World Wide, K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, Aktion Club or Circle K Club) or by a Kiwanis Club visiting a “Kiwanis function.” This year’s program has two competition parts: one is for Distinguished Club and one is a competition between Clubs. A Kiwanis function is defined as: Division Council Meeting (please specify the club you are claiming as an Interclub), Division Prayer Breakfast, District Board Meeting, District Training Conference hosted by a club, Governor’s Official Visit to a respective DivisionMeeting (please specify the club you are claiming as an Interclub), or a Meeting at an International or District Convention at which a Kiwanis Club is the host club. Please note that attendance at a Division Council Meeting (and Governor’s Visit) qualifies as only one (1) interclub, if you have the required number of people based on club size at the meeting. A qualified interclub will consist of no less than four (4) members for Clubs with 31 members and higher, three (3) members for Clubs with 21 to 30 members, and two (2) members from Clubs with a membership up to 20. A qualified interclub may also be composed of a minimum of two Kiwanis members from the visiting club, plus a minimum of two members of a K-Kids Club, Builders Club, Key Club, Aktion Club or Circle K Club that the visiting club is currently sponsoring. Smaller Clubs may adjust the numbers according to Club size. The current seated Lieutenant Governor and the Governor count as ad hoc members to all Clubs and their presence may be counted by any Club in the Division. PART III: CONTEST PERIOD The 2006-2007 Texas-Oklahoma
District Interclub Contest will officially begin October
1, 2006 and run through June 30, 2007. PART IV: SCORING OF INTERCLUB CONTEST The contest will be broken down into five groupings (based on reported club size as follows:
This will ensure the contest’s fairness as clubs will only be competing against other same-size clubs. Scoring for interclubs will be based on a curve to encourage club visits. The more qualifying interclubs attended by a given club, the higher the overall monthly point total. See last page. Points can be earned

Visit 70% of the Clubs in your Division- earn 10 points Visit 100% of the Clubs in your Division- earn 4 additional points Visit Clubs outside your Division- earn 1 point per visit maximum of 3 points Interclub with any Sponsored Youth Group: earn 1 point per visit maximum of 3 points (DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A GROUP YOUR CLUB SPONSORS. SPONSORED YOUTH INTERCLUBS MUST CONSIST OF FOUR (4) MEMBERS OF THE SAME KIWANIS CLUB. Total Distinguished Club points available 20 points When reporting, please remember to highlight the fact that all clubs within your respective division have been visited. Points for

can be earned beginning Oct 1, 2006 to Sept 30, 2007. PART
V: REPORTING To ensure proper interclub contest credit, please complete the Interclub section on the new Online Monthly Reporting System (at www.kiwanisportal.com ). The Interclub District Chairperson WILL calculate and report all distinguished club points on a monthly basis to the District Office. To ensure proper credit, please note that all interclub reports must be entered on your online monthly report no later than the 10th of each month. Cumulative point totals for the interclub contest will be published quarterly in Ki-Notes. Additionally, information may also be available on the Kiwanis Texas-Oklahoma website. <> SECTION VI: RECOGNITIONAwards will be presented from the stage during the General Session at the District Convention Cruise. Each recipient club will be announced from the stage. The top 5 clubs in each category will all receive Certificates of Recognition from the Interclub District Chairperson.
